Yeah...this was pretty much the view on Christmas morning. I mean, I thought Charley and I would love it. The anticipation was nearly killing us...but, imagine the excitement of these two...so much worse than we ever could have imagined. I found myself getting a little jealous after awhile, with little man hamming it up to his grandma and grandpa wells. Geesh. You would have thought we had spent weeks prepping him for his big moment. Nope. No assembly required. He got right down to business and fully enjoyed himself this first Christmas.

They 'motorboated' to each other all week. This looks like a sad face, but it's merely the winding down of a final lap around the lake. Of which there MANY. So many, in fact, that I am motorboated out. Thanks for the encouragement, grandma.

Christmas Eve before Candlelight service at church. I found this off-white adorable outfit for $3 at a consignment store before Christmas! It's hard to see, but has red striping around the sleeves and colar and the cutest snowman on the front!

"Alright, I'll humor you for one more."

When grandparents are over, especially if they live out of state, you just have to sit back and let them take over. That's what my friends did when her parents were in town for the first birthday. They let their daughter stay up way past her bedtime because that was all the time that her parents were going to have with her.

Oh my goodness, what a handsome little man! I clicked the photo of the white outfit(to enlarge it) and it is ADORABLE! I can't believe you found that for $3! You are a fabulous shopper & it looked perfect for him!

And ah, the grandparents in action...what a glorious thing to behold! :)

Your holidays looked lovely and how special to have celebrated a First Christmas with your baby boy!

Thank you for sharing!

Jackie,

Oh gosh, I just had to pop back to thank you for those incredible things you shared about our daughter. It actually made me weepy just a bit because she is our miracle & does add such joy and beauty to each day! I truly believe that all of these inredible kiddos are miracles and how fortunate we all are to be blessed with them!

And your little guy is absolutely one of the brightest lights I've seen yet! Just peeking at your posts and the photos you have shared makes me smile. Here I sit, grinning at the computer...lol...

I also wanted to comment on what happened to you at the Bistro. I'm so sorry that happened to your family and do understand exactly the sentiments you were sharing. Its so hard to comprehend how anyone could look at our families formed through the miracle of adoption and see them for anything less than blessed! Perhaps the gentleman you encountered will have a change of heart after viewing the obvious love & devotion you have for your son! You never know what positive ripples you may have created!!

Yikes...sorry this is so long winded! I really can leave brief messages....lol....if I really try! :)

Hugs!
