Recently daddy said we needed to have an "end of the summer treat." Ice cream cones. He told John to "hold it up next to your face." So, he did. Literally.
And, we finally made John's sandbox. If you look hard, you can see little man helping dad. Don't look at the landscaping! Oh wait...what landscaping!?

I was expecting news about another kind of kid! We almost bought our chicks from McMurry Hatchery mentioned in the TIME article, but shipping live chicks is expensive, so we ended up getting them from a local feed store. The only drawback was that they didn't have our top picks for breeds. Still no eggs, but we should be getting some soon!
